Job Description:
Infosys is seeking C/C++ / Unix Developers with experience in Hadoop technologies. Candidates must reside in Dallas TX, Richardson, TX, or Austin TX. We will also consider those who reside in Irving,TX, Alpharetta GA, Tampa FL . The position will primarily be responsible interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design. You will play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
- At least 4 years of experience with Information Technology
- 3+ years of experience in C/C++.
- Proficient in UNIX/Linux shell scripting
- Should be well versed in Telecommunications, Big Data, Data warehousing, Cloud Computing and Business Intelligence topics
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required, we are not able to sponsor at this time
- Currently this role is remote temporarily and will transit to Hybrid
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Oracle, Teradata, and Hive databases preferred.
- Familiarity with Hadoop and Big Data highly desired.
- Experience with ASN.1, JSON and XML file formats desired.
- Experience with Java desired.
- Strong understanding and hands-on programming/scripting experience skills – UNIX shell, Perl, and JavaScript
- Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment
- Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
- The job may entail extensive travel. The job may also entail sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Candidates should be able to effectively communicate by telephone, email, and face to face.
