As a UI Principal Software Engineer, you will be part of a team passionate about building and running cutting edge UI frameworks which is part our Experience layer. This UI layer will help to transform and power Nike's business. In this role, you are a critical influencer providing thought-leadership on technical directions and a key contributor to new UI platforms that support key initiatives. You are also a mentor to other developers, both directly and via your daily actions. Strong communication, ability to influence, tackle sophisticated problems, and leadership ability while being a team player are a must!

You will help build and deliver modern UI frameworks for our front-end experiences team.
WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?
We will directly partner with the Engineering Directors, Product Directors, and engineering teams to ensure we delivery top notch, resilient platforms that our tech partners depend on to unlock Nike’s digital transformation.
Successful candidates will exhibit the following qualities:
Qualification:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field of study or equivalent combination education and experience and training
- Experience working with / providing solutions for mobile responsive cloud based Engineering teams
- Proven experience in cloud and mobile engineering problems around UI/UX Experience focused design, scalability, and resiliency.
- 5+ years in a lead engineering role responsible for architecture decisions and direct technical leadership over engineering teams focused on front-end design.
- 8+ years in systems software development around UI/UX using common programming languages including but not limited to React Native, Android, iOS, Java Script, Python or equivalent.
- Knowledge of B2B, Retail, Customer and Product lifecycles, iOS, Android, Azure and AWS Cloud in complex environments.
Open to remote work, except cannot work in South Dakota, Vermont, and West Virginia. These candidates will be required to relocate.
For employees based in Colorado, this position starts at $163,000 per year. Information about benefits can be found here.
