Job Description:

  The purpose of this position is to monitor and manage specific sections of the main production line and KPI's (Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost). Other responsibilities include time and attendance tracking, disciplinary actions, performance and quality issues of each group, and continuous improvement.

Role and Responsibilities :

1. Monitor and evaluate all areas for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

2. Manage Area Leader performance to achieve production KPI's by monitoring the following:- Planned vs. actual - Process defects - Cost management - loss, labor cost.

3. Maximize Machine output times to drive productivity.

4. Perform Safety Audits in each area and ensure all safety features are functioning, such as safety gate and all other safeguards.

5. Drive the reduction of defective parts through sustaining the best production conditions promoting corrective actions.

6. Manage and sustain Buffer Levels in all areas.

7. Participate in training new associates when required and mentor, guide, and coach associates as needed.

8. Assist in managing Inventory Control when required.

9. Perform other duties, as required by the Part Leader or Group Leader.

Skills and Qualifications :

1. Education: High school diploma or GED plus 3 years in production or Associate Degree

2. Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in a Supervisory Role and / or Leadership Role 3. Knowledge: Knowledge of manufacturing Processes.

4. Skills: Excellent Communication skills(Verbal and Written), Problem Solving Ability, MS Office, and ERP Systems (GMES-PM/RM/SAP).

5. Physical Demands: Frequently required to stand and walk, Must occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds, Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

6 . Domestic role. No direct interaction with HQ or region.
